Small gift, real relief…

Dear friends of Earthlinks
We are writing with something simple, human, and very close to home.

A local family in Dodanduwa (by the lagoon) has just gone through a serious accident: during a small but necessary renovation, the structure failed and their entire roof collapsed. Thankfully, nobody was injured - but their little space is now exposed and unsafe until a new roof and supporting frame are rebuilt.

This is a hardworking family. The father fishes on the lagoon to provide for the household, and the mother is raising their two young children. They don’t have the resources to cover an emergency rebuild on their own, so we’re stepping in as a community.

We already covered the flooring materials. Now the urgent priority is the roof and the structural frame.
